Purple-winged Roller Coracias temminckii E super views at Tangkoko in the open areas, also at Dongi Dongi (one of the few birds we saw at this site)

Red-bellied Pitta Pitta erythrogaster up to ten calling at the time of our visit at Bogani Nani Wartabone, we had a good view of one bird as it crossed the path
Golden-bellied Gerygone Gerygone sulphurea common at Kamarora, Lore Lindu in the garden of the headquarters, also heard at Palu
Dark-eared Honeyeater Myza celebensis E it took us a while to find this species but we did encounter it a number of times at the lower end of the Anaso Track and at Lake Tambing

Malia Malia grata E there has been a lot of debate about the taxonomy of this species but to my mind there is no doubt that it is a laughing-thrush; a super bird with loads of charisma - arguably Bird of the Trip! Seen a number of times on the Anaso Track, always in small groups.

Fiery-browed Myna Enodes erythrophris E this bird with behaviour and general jizz similar to the following species occurs at higher altitudes; not uncommon on the Anaso Track
Finch-billed Myna Scissirostrum dubium E abundant to common at all lowland sites, two amazing colonies were observed at Tangkoko on the slopes on Gunung Tangkoko and near the pond at Bogani Nani Wartabone; take special note of the unique waxy red rump feathers

Spectral Tarsier Tarsius spectrum E incredible close views of up to ten animals at Tangkoko where they roost in stangler figs
Celebes Crested Macaque Macaca nigra E quite common and habituated to humans at Tangkoko
Sulawesi Black Macaque Macaca nigrescens E less common than the above species at Bogani Nani Wartabone
Sulawesi Wild Pig Sus celebensis E much evidence of these animals at Bogani Nani Wartabone but only seen once
